Yvette Gomez and her husband Sal have been coffee enthusiasts for years...
Sharing an obsession with the single cup pour over method and the way that the process can be dialed in to pull out all of the amazing flavors that various coffees have to offer. The two noticed that they were constantly driving all the way out to Oakland, Berkeley, and even San Francisco just to find a delicious pour over coffee. “One day, we looked at each other and said, ‘We should do this in Brentwood since nobody else is doing it here,’” said Yvette. “And the rest is history.”
Yvette and Sal opened their first Chill Tea & Coffee location in Brentwood by Vic Stewart’s in May 2017, offering freshly roasted coffees from around the world, an amazing selection of teas, and a wide assortment of pastries to pair perfectly with your cup of choice. Chill quickly gained a loyal customer base who appreciated the time, effort, and flavor that only Yvette and Sal could provide. The two did so well that they decided to spread the love, opening a downtown Antioch location in December 2020 and then a second Brentwood location in October 2021 in The Streets of Brentwood. “We live here in Brentwood and proudly serve our neighbors and community,” said Yvette. “Our customers like what we offer, how we provide our service, and what we stand for as a company, so now we make it easier for more people to enjoy what we do in multiple locations within town.”
Although there will always be competition in the coffee industry, Chill offers a wide variety of quality teas and coffees which definitely helps them stand out. “The way we craft our drinks exclusively using the pour over method, paired with the kindness you feel from our amazing team, really sets us apart.” Yvette and Sal are also proud to provide carefully chosen single origin coffees that are not only special in flavor but also special down to the farm and growers, along with exclusive coffee blends that are smooth and flavorful.
